The Explorations in The ARTS series is a unique mix of “informances,” created by a recipe of two parts live performance, one part artist interview, stirred together with a pinch of Q&A and a dash of audience participation.

ONLINE TICKET SALES FOR TONIGHT'S CONCERT - THE POETRY OF JAZZ WITH WILLIE E. ATKINSON HAVE CLOSED. THERE WILL BE TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR.  WE WILL BE IN THE ORRINGER AUDITORIUM LOBBY BEGINNING AT 6:30 P.M. TO SELL TICKETS FOR THE 7:30 P.M. PERFORMANCE. 

 

All ticket prices include 6.75% North Carolina Sales Tax. No refunds - ALL SALES ARE FINAL - Once purchased, tickets for the Explorations in The ARTS are not refundable. However, the tickets are transferable. If you are unable to attend a particular event, you are welcome to share your tickets with another person.

Willie E. Atkinson (vocalist) and The Transitional Jazz Quintet will present an evening of soulful ballads and up tempo classics. The Poetry of Jazz concert should prove to be just the ticket for sharing a musical evening with your valentine! An extraordinarily smooth Jazz vocalist, Atkinson makes each of his performances a unique and unforgettable experience for his audience with his fluid interpretation of Jazz and Blues standards.
