The Explorations in The ARTS series is a unique mix of “informances,” created by a recipe of two parts live performance, one part artist interview, stirred together with a pinch of Q&A and a dash of audience participation.

All ticket prices include 6.75% North Carolina Sales Tax. No refunds - ALL SALES ARE FINAL - Once purchased, tickets for the Explorations in The ARTS are not refundable. However, the tickets are transferable. If you are unable to attend a particular event, you are welcome to share your tickets with another person.

Highland Echoes, The Jennifer Licko Band will present Scottish music, dance in this evening of lively music.Jennifer created the group Highland Echoes to honor and preserve these meaningful traditions that belong to you, me and countless others. Highland Echoes performers: Jennifer Licko, founder & lead vocalist; Sandra Gribbin, dance director & choreographer (championship dancer); Robert Noble, Musical Producer and Arranger; Pat Mangan, Fiddle (two-time All-Ireland champion who currently tours with Riverdance as fiddle soloist and musical director) Patrick Doocey, Guitar (An All-Ireland winning multi-instrumentalist); Daniel Gohn, Percussion (Daniel represents the finest of Brazilian percussionists); and, William (“Bill”) Caudill, Bag Pipes (Director of the Scottish Heritage Center at St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, NC and Instructor of the St. Andrews Pipe Band.)

Willie E. Atkinson (vocalist) and The Transitional Jazz Quintet will present an evening of soulful ballads and up tempo classics. The Poetry of Jazz concert should prove to be just the ticket for sharing a musical evening with your valentine!

Kiefer Curtis and Courtney Schengerger, soloists with Carolina Ballet, will join us for a celebration of the Pas de Deux, performing a number of variations from the expansive repertoire of Carolina Ballet.
